Amino acids aid in repair, growth and development of muscle tissue. They can be of extreme value for bodybuilders or athletes. They also influence mood, concentration and favor sleep. You can choose from our full range of amino acids, all in convenient pills form.

Best amino acids for bodybuilding

Amino acids are absolutely essential for bodybuilding. That's because muscle protein synthesis (the process responsible for muscle growth) requires an adequate supply of amino acids to the bloodstream in order to be activated and start creating new proteins.

Research shows BCAA to be extremely useful in low-carb diets in preventing muscle tissue breakdown (*1). BCAAs prevent muscle catabolism (*2), increase fat burning (*3) and stimulate hormone production (*4).

Amino acids for weight loss

Several amino acids can contribute to weight loss. The most prominent amino acid to fat loss is L-carnitine. L-carnitine plays a role in the transportation of fatty acids to the mitochondria, the energy factories in the cells (*5). It is here that fatty acids are burned for fuel.

Isoleucine prevents the accumulation of tissue triglycerides, a major factor in body fat makeup (*6).

Tyrosine and Phenylalanine stimulate the production of fat-burning neurotransmitters, such as epinephrine, norepinephrine and dopamine (*7), (*8), (*9). Tryptophan is a precursor of serotonin, a neurotransmitter that regulates appetite.

Amino acids can work in many ways to help burn fat and lose weight. You can either take different amino acids or take an all-in-one amino acids supplement.
